No amount of slick salesmanship and fancy glossy fliers ahead
of time will make up for a poor job on location.
Fees
My rates ($350/4 hrs, $450/5hrs) may seem low to some perspective clients. It is unfortunate that some people equate dollars for quality (i.e., the more you pay - the better the job). This is not usually true in this price range.
I am in business for myself. I pay myself my full fee. I dont need to gouge anyone. With me youll get the best professional job possible. I have a self-interest to want to deserve more referrals. This is my life. I do not need to raise my rates.
If you go with a large company, they will have two or three levels
dividing and diluting your fees so that the DJ who actually shows up for your job is being
paid very little. He may even be a newly hired trainee. Is this the DJ you
want doing your wedding?
Promotional Literature
I create my own promotional literature and run it off on standard paper with my local printer. I avoid spending lots of money on fancy glossy fliers. What is being said (the textual content) is much more relevant than the medium it is being presented on. Too much fluff in literature can be misleading. Please read my literature very carefully. It is from the heart and based on actual experience.
